Sister Kathleen Carroll Dies at the Age of 93 A Mass of Christian Burial with cremated remains present will take place on September 6, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. From 1980-1981, Sister Caryl served as a nurse at Clnica Santa Ins in Waspam, Nicaragua, allowing another sister a much-needed sabbatical. Raised on her family farm, Patricia enjoyed doing farm chores with her brother and sister. She taught academic courses, gave private lessons, and organized a symphonic orchestra, a wind ensemble, and a triple string trio, all of which performed often during the academic year. Sister Rose also was employed at Marian College for seven years as Assistant to the Academic Dean and Assistant to the Vice-President for Academic Affairs. Sister was also a member of the Marian College education department faculty for two years. In 8th grade, she sensed a call to religious life, yet relieved that her father thought she was too young to go to the convent, she attended Kaukauna High School taking classes required for the nursing field.
